We are the Venezuelan Engagement Foundation Group, formed by several not-for-profit organizations,

connected to help different regions around the world. In spite of our short existence, we already count over 500 volunteers, in North America, Europe and Latin America (LATAM), who work to help the most communities in need.

In United States, we work through the American Venezuelan Engagement Foundation (AVEF), a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) duly registered as a not-for-profit corporation under the status of 501(c)(3) by the IRS office, with the faculty to provide deductibles Tax Receipts to the donorsn.

Our Mision

  • Provide support and other services for immigrants and refugees in need, including assistance in immigration procedures, job search programs, and information programs on American culture and life.

  • Relieve poverty by providing food and other basic necessities to individuals and families in need in the world.

  • Advance education by providing English language courses to children.

  • Send humanitarian aid to people in need in Latin America.

Our Vision

We support social and local initiatives through partnerships, empowering people to reach their own goals to develop their communities. We are working to help through fundraising and collecting materials, food, medicines and school supplies, all of which are distributed among the most underprivileged neighbourhoods and in zones that are most affected by poverty.


Also, we are focused on building educational and local programs to cooperate with initiatives that help with the integration process of immigrants as well as ameliorating poverty worldwide.

Gabi J. Garcia

Co-Founder & President

Mrs. Garcia born in Caracas, Venezuela. She obtained a Bachelor Degree in Architecture from Universidad Simon Bolivar in 1990. She worked as an Architect & President in her own Firm for more than 20 years. She combined her specialization as a General Inspector in several Projects with a lot of designs Projects and renovations.
Also, Mrs. Garcia was the Founder & CEO of a group of retail stores in Caracas for 10 years (Bath & Body Collection)
For many years she volunteer with many humanitarian projects in Venezuela. She worked as a part of the community team as a coordinator in several local and national elections for more than 30 years.
Currently she is living in Canada with her family, where combines her activities as a Executive VicePresident of Venezuelan Engagement Foundation with her role as a World Jurist Association Delegate for UNICEF, in order to organize and impulse Humanitarian Aid Programs to the people in need.

Valeria Viera

Executive Director

Ms. Viera was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and just recently completed her Master’s of Science in Media Management from the University of Miami.
Valeria has embarked on a film production career which has lead her to win multiple awards as associate producer in one of the leading Hispanic media company in the US. Valeria became part of CVEFG when it was founded and since then has applied her communication skills to create and share content about the different educational and food programs CVEG offers throughout Venezuela. Through her videos, Valeria increases awareness among many individuals about the difficult situation many face in Venezuela everyday. She currently lives in Miami where she oversees the management of charity events. Ms. Viera also helps increase the online and physical presence of the organization as well as its engagement with volunteers . To achieve this, Ms. Viera distributes information and visuals on the foundation’s social media accounts and within her community.

Carlos E. Sardi

Executive Director

Mr. Sardi was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and raised in Miami, Florida since 1979. Mr. Sardi practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy, creditors' rights, insolvency, reorganization and restructuring, and general commercial and corporate matters. Prior to founding SARDI LAW PLLC in 2015, Mr. Sardi worked at a prestigious boutique law firm in Miami, Florida. Previously to practicing law, Mr. Sardi was an entrepreneur owning his own company, and before that he worked as a financial analyst for Xerox Corporation. Mr. Sardi is also very active in professional organizations such as the American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, Dade County Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association, Venezuelan American National Bar Association, Put Something Back Program of Miami-Dade County, Business Law Section of the Florida Bar, The Business Law Section of the Florida Bar, and the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida. He is also a Fellow of the Florida Bar Foundation in support of the value of justice, leadership, and charitable programs. Mr. Sardi has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by Florida Super Lawyers and as a "Legal Elite" by Florida Trend magazine. He has taught as an adjunct professor at Barry University teaching a course in bankruptcy law and has lectured for the National Business Institute. Mr. Sardi earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the Shepard Broad Law Center of Nova Southeastern University in 2004. Prior to obtaining his juris doctor degree, Mr. Sardi graduated from the University of Miami School of Business with a Bachelors in Business Administration, cum laude, in 1985, and later a Masters in Business Administration from the same school in 1987, both with a concentration in finance.

Kendry Naranjo

Director - Venezuelan Program Coordinator

Graduated as Mechanical Engineer from Universidad Politecnica Antonio Jose de Sucre (UNEXPO), by its acronym in the Spanish language), Vice Rectorate Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. She has a specialization in Mechanical Engineering in Process Plants at Universidad Simon Bolivar, Caracas. She worked at Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) for 9 years in the area of Gas Plants and Production Water Engineering. She moved to Bogota in 2014, where she worked for Cameron Colombia LTD, she was the Sales Manager for South America's Services. She has lived in Montreal since 2016 with her family. She joined this Foundation as a volunteer in December 2017, and she is the present Coordinator of the Food Program for Venezuela.

Constanza Viera

Executive Assistant

Constanza Viera has a background in Economics and Business, and after finishing her Master’s Degree at the University of Miami she started volunteering to help feed children in Venezuela through the Engagement Foundation Group. Being born and raised in Venezuela, she felt the need to use her skills to devote her time to those in need of basic necessities, and the Engagement Foundation was the perfect way to merge Marketing and Philatrophy. Through organizing fundraisers and social events in Montreal, Madrid, and South Florida, she has been able to expand the Foundation and reach worldwide contacts that constantly contribute towards our cause.

Martha Viera-Blanco

Miami Coordinator

Mrs. Viera is a well respected dermatologist graduated from Medical School in Venezuela (Universidad Central – Escuela Luis Razetti) and moved to USA in 2001 where she continued with her medical curriculum at University of Miami,Florida where she completed her Dermatology specialty. She works in private practice at Doral Dermatology Group and she is a volunteer faculty at University of Miami. She has been awarded with the American Medical Association (AMA) Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA); In 2008 Recognition of Excellence Award (Residents and Fellow Section of AMA) and in 2012 Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Award.

Currently she is the Operational Director and Event Coordinator of the Venezuelan Engagement Foundation Group for which she has developed many fundraising events such as “Una comida por Venezuela" and “Una obra para Venezuela”, where the funds where directed to the VEFG Food Programs

Leopoldo Garcia

Health Programs Coordinator

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, now living in Canada as a temporal resident. Married and father of twins. An orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience in managing, training, and teaching sports medicine and prosthesis implantation. Throughout my postgraduate training and my professional experience, I have had the opportunity to be involved in several research projects regarding orthopedic surgery, and was able to share some of the findings in journals and conferences. I was a Research and Clinical Fellow in Sports Medicine, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy Surgery at the Istituto Ortopedicci Rizzoli, in Bologna, Italy. Work as volunteer doctor with the poverty communities in Venezuela for the Centro Medico Docente la Trinidad and Puerto Azul Foundation. Member of Cruz Roja Venezuela.

Euler Marin

Community & Website Manager

Euler Marin was born in Venezuela, and completed his studies as a Mechanical Engineer at the Universidad de Oriente, Anzoátegui. From a very young age he has been dedicated to systems management and process creation, which has allowed him to adapt to the different computer and digital plans of the companies for which he has worked. Additionally, it has a great capacity for information analysis and experience in managing work teams, which, in Venezuela Engagement Foundation Group, has focused on the technological area, to optimize the online presence of the organization, and to give know the management carried out each day to a specific audience.

Franklin has dedicated part of his professional activity to mediation and international negotiation, specializing in intellectual property. Arbitrator and mediator of World Services Group; Arbitrator for the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI); the Specialized Center of Arbitration and Conciliation of the Chamber of Conciliation in Intellectual Property, Colombia; and Mediator at the Center for Mediation at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). He was also President and Co-founder of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR); and he is the current President of the World Jurists Association. He has been considered one of the top IP lawyers in Venezuela by Latin Lawyer, The Legal 500 and Best Lawyers. Author of several legal works edited in Venezuela.

Public Figure

Bárbara Palacios is a highly respected public figure with an impeccable reputation. Living most of her life in Caracas, Venezuela, moving to the United States with her family in 2000 and currently residing in Florida. Barbara has been married for 29 years and has 2 children.She has simultaneously developed an intense and productive career as a recognized spokesperson for a variety of company’s, as well as in the television industry in the US and abroad. She has served as host for many TV shows including the Latin Grammys (5 years), Miss Venezuela (7 Years), Miss Universe, Viña del Mar Festival, Miss USA and others.

Romina Rojas


Born in the city of Maturín in Venezuela, October 5, 1977. She studied chemicall engineering at the University of Oriente and graduated in the year 2003, She studied English at the University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica, and She studied in the area of automation and Industrial Informatics.

She works in the Venezuelan oil industry in the area of oil, gas and water production, responsible for designing and planning the infrastructure for the processing requirements of oil, gas and water associated with the production of petroleum. Responsible for the optimization of process plants, especially flow stations in the Department of Production engineers, with extensive knowledge in systems of transmission or collection of fluids, separators, pipes, gas injection nets Lift at surface level. In addition, She has carried out a job of providing clothes and food for the children of the hostel Maturín and since January 2019 She serves as coordinator in the eastern part of the VEFG food Program.

Reina Ruiz


Reina Ruiz holds a Degree of English Teacher and Master in Higher Education from Universidad Pedagodica Experimental Libertador (UPEL) in Maturin. She has 12 years of experience in English Language Teaching. She works as an English teacher for both undergraduate and graduate programs for English Teachers at UPEL. She is the Secretary of VENTESOL (Venezuelan National Association of English Teachers). She joined Engagement Foundation as a volunteer in January 2018. Currently, she coordinates the English Program for Little Talents in which 65 children are taught English and receive a meal during their classes.



Xiomara García


Xiomara holds a Degree in Administration, with more than 35 years of experience in administrative areas.  For 14 years, she worked at CVG ALCASA, a Basic Industry dedicated to the production of Aluminium in Guayana. She also worked for 13 years at Baker & McKenzie Law Firm in Puerto Ordaz; and during the last 8 years, she worked at METROMED, C. A. Company in charge of performing Ambulance and Home Medical Care services, holding the position of South-Eastern Coordinator of the Country, Puerto Ordaz Headquarters. She is a resident of Puerto Ordaz, State of Bolívar. In 2019, she joined the VEFG Foundation, and she has been in charge of the control and follow up of humanitarian aid shipments. For her, this is a beautiful job in which she feels very happy to be able to help the ones in need.

Yucili Moreno


Yucili del Valle Moreno de Naranjo holds an Associated Degree in Information Technology at the Institute of Industrial Technology Rodolfo Loero Arismendi (IUTIRLA), extension Cuidad Guayana. She worked at Solfa C.A (contractor that provides services to PDVSA Santo Tome) for 7 years in the Payroll Department. She moved to Puerto Ordaz in 2000, she has always stood out for her role in the social improvements in her neighborhood. In December 2018, she provided support in the delivery of toys at the Uyapar Hospital donated by the Venezuelan Engagement Foundation Group. Since January 2019, she has been assigned the delivery of donations to the House Mother Teresa of Calcuta in San Felix.
