We are the Venezuelan Engagement Foundation Group, formed by several not-for-profit organizations,
connected to help different regions around the world. In spite of our short existence, we already count over 500 volunteers, in North America, Europe and Latin America (LATAM), who work to help the most communities in need.
In Canada, we work through the Canadian Venezuelan Engagement Foundation (CVEF), a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered as a not-for-profit corporation as well.

Provide support and other services for immigrants and refugees in need, including assistance in immigration procedures, job search programs, and information programs on Canadian culture and life.

Send humanitarian aid to people in need in Latin America.
We support social and local initiatives through partnerships, empowering people to reach their own goals to develop their communities. We are working to help through fundraising and collecting materials, food, medicines and school supplies, all of which are distributed among the most underprivileged neighbourhoods and in zones that are most affected by poverty.
Also, we are focused on building educational and local programs to cooperate with initiatives that help with the integration process of immigrants as well as ameliorating poverty worldwide.

Mrs. Garcia born in Caracas, Venezuela. She obtained a Bachelor Degree in Architecture from Universidad Simon Bolivar in 1990. She worked as an Architect & President in her own Firm for more than 20 years. She combined her specialization as a General Inspector in several Projects with a lot of designs Projects and renovations. Also, Mrs. Garcia was the Founder & CEO of a group of retail stores in Caracas for 10 years (Bath & Body Collection)
For many years she volunteer with many humanitarian projects in Venezuela. She worked as a part of the community team as a coordinator in several local and national elections for more than 30 years.
Currently she is living in Canada with her family, where combines her activities as a Executive VicePresident of Venezuelan Engagement Foundation with her role as a World Jurist Association Delegate for UNICEF, in order to organize and impulse Humanitarian Aid Programs to the people in need.

Maria Gabriela Guzmán

Director - Venezuelan Programs Coordinator
Graduated as Mechanical Engineer from Universidad Politecnica Antonio Jose de Sucre (UNEXPO), by its acronym in the Spanish language), Vice Rectorate Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. She has a specialization in Mechanical Engineering in Process Plants at Universidad Simon Bolivar, Caracas. She worked at Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) for 9 years in the area of Gas Plants and Production Water Engineering. She moved to Bogota in 2014, where she worked for Cameron Colombia LTD, she was the Sales Manager for South America's Services. She has lived in Montreal since 2016 with her family. She joined this Foundation as a volunteer in December 2017, and she is the present Coordinator of the Food Program for Venezuela.

She graduated in the area of marketing management from the University College of Caracas, worked for Elizabeth Rossi and associates, the Telares Maracay Group and Empresas Polar in the area of market studies and marketing. He studied three years of Social Work at the renowned Central University of Venezuela until he decided to move to Canada in 1994, where he has taken certificates in the French and English languages at the University of Quebec à Montreal, graduated from the College Marie-Victorin of Montreal in childhood education, obtained a certificate in early educational intervention at the University of Montreal. Currently, she works in the preschool educational area for one of the Children's Centers that derive from the Ministry of the Family of Quebec CPE. Since her arrival in Canada, she has participated as a volunteer in various agencies and programs aimed at the integration and assistance of immigrants, children and at-risk youth.

Director - Human Resources Coordinator
Graduated in Business Administration from the National Experimental University Simon Rodríguez, she worked at PDVSA and Shell Venezuela Productos in the Chemical field for 8 years. Subsequently, she specialized in the area of human resources, becoming an HR Coordinator at the McDonald's Corp. and Grupo Mokambo companies. She moved to Montréal in 2012, where she completed her French studies and an AEC in Human Resources with cumlaude mention from the Collège of Maisonneuve. She works in the Ville de Montréal at the Department of Diversity and Equal Employment of Human Resources and is currently taking on greater challenges, joining the Ministry of French Integration and inclusion at the BTNCEN Center of digital expertise document management.
She has experience in the volunteer logistics field, having carried out big humanitarian aid events for Venezuela in Canada. She currently coordinates the CVEF Montréal volunteer and immigrant aid in Quebec programs (currently with more than 100 members).
Katiuska Rivas was born in Caracas-Venezuela where she developed her career as Business Administrator of the Santa Maria University in this same house of studies, completing a specialization in finance. She occupied different managerial roles in "Banco de Venezuela", "Banesco" and "Corporación Digitel". In this last one, she developed as Regional Sales Manager for the Central Zone of the Country with excellent results, in fact from this position she participated in the IESA Sales Leaders Program being The first woman to participate in this program. In 2003, he began his career in other latitudes, occupying the position of Financial Manager for special projects of the Atlantis Group in the Caribbean. Finally, she settled in Toronto-Canada with her family, where she lived 15 years ago. On this path, she worked at a corporate level as coordinator of international relocation's for executives of the main multinational companies around the world.

Health Programs Coordinator
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, now living in Canada as a temporal resident. Married and father of twins. An orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience in managing, training, and teaching sports medicine and prosthesis implantation. Throughout my postgraduate training and my professional experience, I have had the opportunity to be involved in several research projects regarding orthopedic surgery, and was able to share some of the findings in journals and conferences. I was a Research and Clinical Fellow in Sports Medicine, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy Surgery at the Istituto Ortopedicci Rizzoli, in Bologna, Italy. Work as volunteer doctor with the poverty communities in Venezuela for the Centro Medico Docente la Trinidad and Puerto Azul Foundation. Member of Cruz Roja Venezuela.

Community & Website Manager
Born in Venezuela, and completed his studies as a Mechanical Engineer at the Universidad de Oriente. From a very young age he has been dedicated to systems management and process creation, which has allowed him to adapt to the different computer and digital plans of the companies for which he has worked. Additionally, it has a great capacity for information analysis and experience in managing work teams, which, in Venezuela Engagement Foundation Group, has focused on the technological area, to optimize the online presence of the organization, and to give know the management carried out each day to a specific audience.
Former Member of Parliament - Human Rights Lawyer
Irwin Cotler, PC, OC (born May 8, 1940) was the Member of Parliament for Mount Royal from 1999 to 2015. He served as the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada from 2003 until the Liberal government of Paul Martin lost power following the 2006 federal election. He was first elected to the Canadian House of Commons in a by-election in November 1999, winning 92% of votes cast. He is considered an expert on international law and human rights law. Cotler served as counsel to former prisoners of conscience Nelson Mandela in South Africa, Jacobo Timmerman in Latin America, Muchtar Pakpahan in Asia, as well as other well known political prisoners and dissidents.
She was born on October 6th of 1993, She is a Venezuelan model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Venezuela 2016. She represented the state of Monagas at the pageant and represented Venezuela at the Miss Universe 2017. Sayago is a mechanical engineer of National Experimental University of the Armed Forces in Los Teques, She is currently working togehter with our organization helping the people in Venezuela.
Born in the city of Maturín in Venezuela, October 5, 1977. She studied chemicall engineering at the University of Oriente and graduated in the year 2003, She studied English at the University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica, and She studied in the area of automation and Industrial Informatics.
She works in the Venezuelan oil industry in the area of oil, gas and water production, responsible for designing and planning the infrastructure for the processing requirements of oil, gas and water associated with the production of petroleum. Responsible for the optimization of process plants, especially flow stations in the Department of Production engineers, with extensive knowledge in systems of transmission or collection of fluids, separators, pipes, gas injection nets Lift at surface level. In addition, She has carried out a job of providing clothes and food for the children of the hostel Maturín and since January 2019 She serves as coordinator in the eastern part of the VEFG food Program.
Reina Ruiz holds a Degree of English Teacher and Master in Higher Education from Universidad Pedagodica Experimental Libertador (UPEL) in Maturin. She has 12 years of experience in English Language Teaching. She works as an English teacher for both undergraduate and graduate programs for English Teachers at UPEL. She is the Secretary of VENTESOL (Venezuelan National Association of English Teachers). She joined Engagement Foundation as a volunteer in January 2018. Currently, she coordinates the English Program for Little Talents in which 65 children are taught English and receive a meal during their classes.
Xiomara holds a Degree in Administration, with more than 35 years of experience in administrative areas. For 14 years, she worked at CVG ALCASA, a Basic Industry dedicated to the production of Aluminium in Guayana. She also worked for 13 years at Baker & McKenzie Law Firm in Puerto Ordaz; and during the last 8 years, she worked at METROMED, C. A. Company in charge of performing Ambulance and Home Medical Care services, holding the position of South-Eastern Coordinator of the Country, Puerto Ordaz Headquarters. She is a resident of Puerto Ordaz, State of Bolívar. In 2019, she joined the VEFG Foundation, and she has been in charge of the control and follow up of humanitarian aid shipments. For her, this is a beautiful job in which she feels very happy to be able to help the ones in need.
Yucili del Valle Moreno de Naranjo holds an Associated Degree in Information Technology at the Institute of Industrial Technology Rodolfo Loero Arismendi (IUTIRLA), extension Cuidad Guayana. She worked at Solfa C.A (contractor that provides services to PDVSA Santo Tome) for 7 years in the Payroll Department. She moved to Puerto Ordaz in 2000, she has always stood out for her role in the social improvements in her neighborhood. In December 2018, she provided support in the delivery of toys at the Uyapar Hospital donated by the Venezuelan Engagement Foundation Group. Since January 2019, she has been assigned the delivery of donations to the House Mother Teresa of Calcuta in San Felix.
